South Park Quake Tech Support

Installation/Start-up Instructions:
First, you need the full retail version of Quake 2, and at least the Quake 2 3.12 patch from id, also available locally (9.2MB), although
you should upgrade to the latest version, 3.17, available from id.
Download and Install Both Components--spalpha1.zip, level1.zip
- Unzip the spalpha1.zip to your Quake2 directory, with directory info turned on.
- Unzip level1.zip to your /quake2/spq2 directory, with directory info turned on.
- At this point, you should have an spq2 directory under the Quake2 directory.
- Under that directory,there should be a maps, textures, players, env, models, and maybe a few other directories.
- Under the Players directory should be a directory for each of the characters: Cartman, Cow, Chef, Kenny, Kyle, Marvin, and Stan.
- Under the textures directory, there should at least be a level1 directory.
- The quake2/spq2 directory should contain a readme.txt, gamex86.dll, a config.cfg file, and maybe a few others.
Start Quake, Select a Character and Start a Game
- Start a normal Quake2 game.
- Once the game is loaded, press escape at any time to pull up the main menu.
- Go to Multiplayer, then Setup.
- Arrow down to "model", and using the left and right arrow keys, select a character to play as.
- Press escape when you're satisfied with your choice.
Starting a game
- Pull down the "console" by pressing the tilde key (next to the 1 key, above the tab key).
- Type game spq2 and press return.
- type map level1 and press return.
You should now be looking at the test map, where you can try out various features of
the alpha South Park Quake 2 TC.
Please realize that many features in this release aren't functional. Please submit submit
any bugs to us.
